Client Details:
My client is a global freight operator. Now expanding internationally into Europe and North America, we have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Supply Chain/ Logistics Manager. This is a vital role in setting up our UK supply chain and logistics function as we scale into the UK and Europe market.
Responsibilities:
Help build and maintain our UK supply chain from the ground up (including integration into our global processes)
· Build relationships and strong ways of working with our existing logistics partners, and establish relationships with new providers
· Develop data-driven models, analyses, reports, and dashboards, creating actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and process improvements
· Develop an inventory, warehousing, procurement, and logistics strategy to ensure scalability to support growth plans
· Work cross functionally with other teams within the group (Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Logistics) to support new product/service launches
· Ensure that all the operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are kept informed and coordinated
· Deploy your strong commercial skills including P&L management in a fast-growing division of a global business. As well as functional logistics experience, demonstrating knowledge of cost-to-serve models, activity-based costing, improving KPIs, customs, incoterms and associated HMRC regulations.
· Experience of working with/within global freight/ 3PL contract logistics environment will be critical to success.
· Supporting our Chinese branches from time to time with knowledge of UK/European customs regulations.
· Hire, train, and coach members of the team while promoting and creating a world class supply chain operation along the business growth plan.
An ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (including 3PLs, freight forwarders, shipping lines and airlines) to achieve results for our team and our customers.

Required Skills:
· Steady employment within the Freight forwarding industry
· Minimum working experience 5 years and over.
· Bilingual both in oral and writing – Chinese and English.
· Management experience is desirable.
· Experience in Dangerous Goods in a logistics setting is highly desirable.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent attention to detail
· Good organisational skills
· Be a good communicator
· Must be system orientated; Experience in Cargowise will be desirable.
· Work well with the team and can make decisions/work on initiative
